Our company Hoja Galanterija Podpeč d.d. is located about 15 km (9 miles) south from capital town of Slovenia, Ljubljana, at the edge of Ljubljana's moor.

A saw for cutting timber was built on this location in 1906. Serial production started in 1935-36 when deck chairs and first simple wooden hangers were produced. The production increased rapidly after the year 1947 as a consequence of increased export.

Later other independent companies were joined and the result was Lesni kombinat Ljubljana which was in 1970 renamed to Hoja predelava lesa, Ljubljana. In 1991 the company was devided into few independent companies and one of them was our.

After the privatization in 1997 the company was inscribed in the court register in Ljubljana as Hoja galanterija Podpeč d.d..
